About Voice Data Bridge
Voice Data Bridge is the parent company of three distinct Directory Assistance (DA) brands operating in the Netherlands. It furthermore operates one wholly-owned call centre with 100 seats, to service the inbound DA call traffic of the group.
Following the government's
liberalisation of the DA market in 2007, Voice Data Bridge was the
only successful challenger to KPN and other telecom incumbents. The
1850 and 1820 brands
quickly grew to become respectively the second and fourth largest
DA services in the Netherlands with a combined market share in
excess of 35%. In April 2009, the company acquired Vodafone's 1800 DA number, which was the third largest DA
brand in the Netherlands. The group's total market share in DA is
now approximately 40%.
The company is now branching out into other telecom-related
fields. In August 2009 a new 1850-branded conference
calling service for the SOHO/SME market was unveiled (0900-1855).
